Michael "Whip" Wilton will appear and play at a Diamond Knot Whip Ale event this Saturday, July 31 at The Jet in Mill Creek, Washington.
For the first time, Whip Ale was bottled in 22 ounce bomber bottles last week. It is currently available in various bottle shops in Washington state and can also be picked up at Diamond Knot Brewery.
The bands playing at this event are OUTSHINED (a kick-ass and sonically precise SOUNDGARDEN tribute) and KLOVER JANE (featuring Rane Stone – singer of Michael Wilton's other band, WRATCHET HEAD). In addition, Whip who is sponsored by Krank Amps and ESP Guitars, will perform his usual set.
Of course, Whip Ale will be available on tap. There will also be a limited number of the official Whip Ale drinking shirts and signed tap handles available, along with other Whip Ale items.
Whip Ale is a collaborative effort between Diamond Knot Brewery in Mukilteo, Washington and Wilton.
Whip Ale is an American pale ale bittered with nugget, simcoe and cascade hops. Pale, caramel and vienna malts provide a balance to the bright, citrusy hop flavors. American ale yeast generates a clean, crisp finish. 30 IBUs; 6.1%ABV
Michael will play at this event. He will go on first, so get there early. Whip will perform a 30-40 minute set of QUEENSRŸCHE material with some improv jam mixed in.

Rat Pak Records set for October release of Michael Wilton's
“Wratchet Head”
The long awaited new release from Michael Wilton of Queensryche “Wratchet Head”, is now tentatively scheduled for an October 2010 release date! The first single, “Coming for You,” will be featured on an upcoming commercial for Erik Buell Racing. Without giving too much away, we can tell you that this new offering will in no way mirror any of Michael’s recent work. From its musical conceptions to its presentation, Wratchet Head will be an entirely new interpretation of exactly what you would hope and expect to hear from an artist whose roots run deep in the hard rock / heavy metal genres. “There were no unwanted “hands in the mix” guiding or dictating the album’s direction, thus making the creative process wide open for Michael & the band” says RPR President Joe O'Brien. Whip Ale update!!
Whip Ale is now brewed by Diamond Knot brewery in Mukilteo, WA. We had to expand beyond the production limits we were at, and Diamond Knot is the perfect fit to meet our goals and the demand. We have spent the off time to perfect the recipe in order to bring you the same Whip Ale that we initially int...roduced back in December...
We have also received our federal label approval for kegs and bottles. With the new label approval we are now allowed to bottle Whip Ale, and will be doing so soon (in 22 ounce bomber bottles). In the mean time, we are going re-fill the Seattle market, and work on expaning beyond that. Any inquiries for Whip Ale can be directed to sales@whipale.com. Thank you.

On April 24, at the Snoqualmie Casino, many of the world’s greatest musicians will come together for a special, intimate performance honoring the music of John Lennon, and benefiting the Puget Sound Affiliate of Susan G. Komen for the cure. The funds raised at this benefit concert will save lives by providing breast cancer education, screening, treatment and support for underserved women living in Western Washington, and will also be invested in national research focused on the discovery of the cure for breast cancer.

For those of you lucky enough to be in the North West on Friday December 11th, you can be one of the first to sample "Whip Ale" the new beer from Michael Wilton of Queensryche. The ingredients for this new pale ale were chosen by Michael himself and the taste is a smooth well flavored blend that is comparable to today's top ales on the market.
Whip Ale will be distributed nationally in 2010.
